Max Cap Room
$18.4 million
$8.8 million Room Mid-Level Exception
Potential Free Agents
-
Luke Kennard ($17.6 million cap hold, Full Bird Rights, Unrestricted)
-
Santi Aldama ($11.9 million cap hold, $5.9 million Qualifying Offer, Full Bird Rights, Restricted)
-
Marvin Bagley ($18.8 million cap hold, Full Bird Rights, Unrestricted)
Summary
The Grizzlies could have cap some cap space, but they also might operate over the cap and retain their own free agents.

If they operate over the cap, the Grizzlies should have enough room below the luxury tax and first apron to re-sign both Kennard and Aldama, and use the full $14.1 million Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception and $5.1 million Bi-Annual Exception to add talent.

One potential path that the Grizzlies could do take some of their cap space and renegotiate and extend Jaren Jackson Jr.'s contract, which would let them avoid Jackson hitting unrestricted free agency in 2026. This would be similar to what the Jazz did with Lauri Markkanen and the Kings did with Domantas Sabonis in recent years.
