Dragic looks to have declined somewhat after having an All-Star year, albeit in a weaker Eastern Conference. It's hard to imagine a team offering him $20+ million a year, even if it was a short-term contract. Dragic could be a good candidate for a player opting out and taking less money in 2019-2020 in order to lock in a long-term contract before his play declines too drastically. Dragic and his agent, Rade Filipovich of BDA Sports Management, will have to consider his value in 2019 compared to his value in 2020 to determine if opting out would be reasonable.
