Summary
Mulder was a nice find by the Warriors when they were giving some flyers to unknown players as their '19-'20 season was going down the drain. He's a 35% shooter from three, which is solid but not great. You would probably expect better than that from an above-average shooter considering all the open looks Steph Curry generates for others, so I'm not sure if it's correct to classify Mulder as a shooter yet.

Mulder doesn't make a lot of mistakes, shown by his low turnover rate, but he doesn't do much else either. He doesn't rebound or make plays for others. He defends reasonably well, but is not a standout on that end either. Mulder will be 27 this summer, so he's not exactly a young prospect that teams would expect to improve much if they sign him in free agency.

Cap Considerations
Mulder's $1.8 million salary for 2021-2022 is non-guaranteed, and if he is waived he will become an unrestricted free agent and the Warriors will have no form of Bird rights on him. If he is waived, teams could claim him off waivers, but would need to fit his salary within cap space or an exception to do so, as his contract doesn't fit within the minimum salary exception as it was a four-year contract.

If Mulder becomes a free agent, other teams will have multiple ways to sign him as even teams without cap space could possibly use either of the Non-Taxpayer MLE, Taxpayer MLE, or possibly even the Room MLE to sign him. However, I don't expect any offers for Mulder to be above the minimum.

Potential Teams: Warriors, Nuggets, Bulls, Spurs, Wizards

Predicted Contract: Not waived: $1.8 million
If waived: 1-year, $1.7 million (non-guaranteed) with the Nuggets
