Summary
Robinson has shown flashes of decent wing play over the course of his seven-year career, but hasn't developed his game enough to be a consistent contributor, and after being waived by the Kings this season, his NBA career is in real jeopardy. He has had some good shooting seasons, hitting 39% from three on 190 attempts in '19-'20, and 42% on 108 attempts in '16-'17, according to Cleaning the Glass, but just hasn't been consistent enough to be a real threat from there, especially considering most of his attempts come from open spot-ups. He has always had a low usage rate, and doesn't really make plays for others. He's not a bad defensive player, but doesn't excel there either. Robinson is okay at a lot of aspects of the game, but just doesn't have a skill you can point to that he provides well enough to contribute to a winning team.
Cap Considerations
Robinson was waived by the Kings this season, and has yet to be signed by an NBA team. Teams will have multiple ways to sign Robinson as even teams without cap space could possibly use any of the Non-Taxpayer MLE, Taxpayer MLE, or possibly even the Room MLE or Bi-Annual Exception to sign him. It's also likely that Robinson could be signed for the minimum.
Potential Teams: Nuggets, Rockets, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Jazz
Predicted Contract: 1-year, $2.2 million (non-guaranteed) with the Nuggets
