Summary

Caboclo has been given a chance in Memphis and Houston in recent years, but hasn't been able to show enough development to stick around in the league. While his jumper looked like it started to improve, he still didn't hit enough shots to be an efficient scorer.

As for the rest of his game, there isn't much to point to. Caboclo isn't much of a playmaker. His feel for the game was something that always needed development, and that just never came around. On defense, he showed some potential as a versatile, long wing defender, but wasn't able to make an impact there either. Caboclo is still only 25, so there's a chance he could develop overseas and make a future return to the NBA.

Cap Considerations

Caboclo was waived by the Rockets to clear a roster spot in order to facilitate the James Harden trade, and has yet to be signed by an NBA team. Teams will have multiple ways to sign Caboclo as even teams without cap space could possibly use any of the Non-Taxpayer MLE, Taxpayer MLE, or possibly even the Room MLE or Bi-Annual Exception to sign him. It's also likely that Caboclo could be signed for the minimum.

Potential Teams: Thunder, Magic, Knicks, Cavaliers, Pistons

Predicted Contract: 1-year, $2.1 million (non-guaranteed) with the Thunder
