Summary
Arcidiacono is your typical third point guard - he won't make many mistakes, he plays hard, but he's not enough of an offensive threat or defensive disruptor to get major minutes on a healthy, competitive team. He's a solid 37% three point shooter, but not a threat to pull off-the-dribble.
Despite only finishing his fourth year in the league, Arcidiacono is already 27 years old. so there isn't a lot of upside either. I think there are plenty of teams that would be happy signing Arcidiacono to a minimum contract, but I don't think there are many that would trust him as their primary backup point guard, even if they have a shooting guard as their pseudo-backup point guard (like the Jazz with Donovan Mitchell, for example).
Cap Considerations
Arcidiacono has a $3 million team option for 2020-2021, and if that is declined he will be an unrestricted free agent with a $5.7 million cap hold and Full Bird rights, meaning the Bulls would have no restrictions on re-signing him.
If he becomes a free agent, other teams will have multiple ways to sign Arcidiacono as even teams without cap space could possibly use any of the Non-Taxpayer MLE, Taxpayer MLE, or possibly even the Room MLE or Bi-Annual Exception to sign him. There's also a chance that he ends up settling for the minimum.
Potential Teams: Bulls, Wizards, Jazz, Clippers, Pistons
Predicted Contract: 1-year, $1.8 million (non-guaranteed) with the Bulls
Actual Contract: 1-year, $1.8 million (non-guaranteed) with the Celtics
As expected, Arcidiacono only got a non-guaranteed minimum contract, and I would be surprised if he made the Celtics' roster.
