Summary
Ilyasova may not hit free agency, but if Milwaukee needs to cut costs and can't find a trade partner for Ilyasova, they could waive him. Ilyasova is a stretch big that can provide some passing with his solid vision. In addition, he makes up for his lack of athleticism on defense by being in the right position.
Ilyasova will be 33 years old next summer, so it's very unlikely he gets any long-term offers. However, he still might find an offer above the minimum if he shows he can still contribute to a competitive team this season.

Cap Considerations
Ilyasova's $7 million salary for 2020-2021 has only $1.28 million guaranteed, so he may be waived by the Bucks in order to avoid the luxury tax or lower their luxury tax bill. If the Bucks waive Ilyasova, they will have no form of his Bird rights, and would have to use their Mid-Level Exception or Bi-Annual Exception to re-sign him, or he would need to return on a minimum contract.

Other teams will have multiple ways to sign Ilyasova as even teams without cap space could possibly use any of the Non-Taxpayer, Taxpayer, or Room Mid-Level Exceptions to sign him.
Potential Teams: Nets, Bucks, Jazz, Spurs, Celtics
Predicted Contract: 1-year, $4 million with the Nets
Actual Contract: N/A
As of the start of the regular season, Ilyasova remains unsigned.
