Teams got a decent look at Selden this season, as he played almost 22 minutes per game after being traded to Chicago. While it's hard to evaluate players in losing situations, playing real NBA minutes is still valuable for teams preparing for free agency.
Selden can provide some scoring, but not at an efficient rate. His size also limits his ability to defend bigger wings. His agent will argue there's still some upside, as Selden still is only 24, but teams will argue that by that age you pretty much know what a player can and cannot provide.
The Bulls will have an interesting decision to make, as they will need to tender Selden a $1.9 million Qualifying Offer (about $250K above his minimum salary) to make him a restricted free agent. I would expect them not to give him the Qualifying Offer, unless they really want to retain him. Even if they don't give him the Qualifying Offer, they could still probably re-sign him for the minimum, unless not giving him the Qualifying Offer causes some bad blood.
Potential Teams: Bulls, Thunder, Trailblazers, Hawks, Magic
Predicted Contract: 1-year, $1.7 million ($500k guaranteed) with the Bulls
*Selden signed overseas and will play in China this summer.
