Rubio isn't playing as well as he did last year, as his shooting percentages are down across the board, but he's still a solid starting point guard that plays both ends of the court.
Rubio will hit free agency for the first time in his career next summer at age 28, and could have an interesting free agency. It's unclear if any team will go hard after Rubio, so the Spanish point guard's best shot at a large payday may have gone out the window after the Jazz traded for Mike Conley.
Potential Teams: Pacers, Suns, Celtics, Clippers, Magic,
Predicted Contract: 2-year, $20 million with the Pacers
Predicted Contract: 2-year, $20 million with the Pacers
*Actual Contract: 3-year, $51 million with the Suns.
This was more than I expected Rubio to get after a somewhat down year in Utah, but Rubio is a starting point guard, and this amount reflects what a starting point guard makes in the NBA.
