Ross had a good season for the Magic, shooting the ball well and providing some much-needed scoring off the bench. Ross has been an above-average shooter in each of the past five seasons, so efficiency is not his probem.
Teams that lack shot-creators and need some scoring punch on the second unit will be interested in Ross, but look for the Magic to re-sign him, as they won't have cap space to replace Ross unless they also let Nikola Vucevic walk away. If Vucevic does sign elsewhere, the Magic will be choosing between $21.6 million in cap room and keeping Ross's $15.75 million cap hold on the books.

If the Magic re-sign Ross, look for his contract to be front-loaded, unless the Magic are too close to the luxury tax to do so.
Potential Teams: Magic, Pacers, Mavericks
Predicted Contract: 3-year, $40 million with the Magic.
*Actual Contract: 4-year, $50 million with the Magic.

This was about the range I expected for Ross. The Magic offered Ross more than the full MLE, which gave them leverage over each team that did not have cap space.
