Rose was one of the biggest surprises of the season, at one point even leading the league in 3-point percentage. Despite cooling off the second half of the season, Rose still shot 39% from three and above average from all areas of the floor.

I'm skeptical that this will continue, especially since Rose has shot below 30% from 3 each of the prior four seasons. However, Rose has shown he can still score in this league and teams may still view him as a quality backup point guard.

The Timberwolves will only have Rose's Early Bird rights, so the most they can offer him is $10.6 million. This should be enough to retain Rose, if they are set on doing so.
Potential Teams: Timberwolves, Bulls, Suns, Thunder, Wizards
Predicted Contract: 1-year, $8 million with the Timberwolves
*Actual Contract: 2-year, $15 million with the Pistons.
Considering many other backup point guards (Tyus Jones, Delon Wright, Cory Joseph) got paid more than Rose, I think this is solid value despite not being the biggest fan of Rose's game.
