After a fairly successful rookie season in which he was getting rotational minutes on a competitive team, Payne was traded to Chicago during his second season and has shown no signs of being an NBA player.

After being waived by the Bulls in January, the Cavaliers signed him to a pair of 10-day contracts. While Payne shot well during his stint in Cleveland, it was on a low number of attempts, and the Cavs didn't find him interesting enough to sign him to a rest of season contract.

Payne is a very poor finisher at the rim, and his outside shot is unreliable as well. He has some fluidity to his game, but it's unlikely he will make a 15-man roster next season.

Potential Teams: Pistons, Cavs, Pelicans, Grizzlies, Magic

Predicted Contract: 1-year, $1.7 million (non-guaranteed) with the Pistons

*Actual Contract: 2-year, $3.7 million ($150K guaranteed) with the Raptors.

Payne is fighting for his NBA life right now, so a partially-guaranteed minimum contract is reasonable.
