I was surprised last summer when nobody offered Nwaba more than the minimum, as I thought he would be able to demand slightly more than that. While he didn't get a ton of minutes on a terrible Cavalier team, Nwaba still showed signs of competant wing play. He shoots at a respectable rate, and has been one of the only Cavs that actually plays defense, which shows in his impressive defensive on/off metrics.

Nwaba isn't exactly a young prospect at 26 years old, but I think he could provide minutes on a competitive team. I don't expect him to get more than a minimum contract, but I would consider offering him one.

Potential Teams: Cavaliers, 76ers, Knicks, Nets, Rockets

Predicted Contract: 1-year, $1.7 million ($1.6 million cap hit) with the Cavaliers

*Actual Contract: 2-year, $3.5 million (2nd year non-guaranteed with the Nets.

No surprise that Nwaba only got the minimum, and Brooklyn also was able to get a 2nd year non-guaranteed, which allows them to keep him on a minimum deal even if he has a breakout year.
