Morris will not be hitting free agency at an ideal time, as he was plagued by injuries this season, and struggled during his time on the court.

With only Non-Bird rights on Morris, the Thunder can only offer him a contract starting at $2.8 million, unless they use their Taxpayer Mid-Level of $5.7 million. Morris didn't seem like the best fit in OKC, so I expect them to use their MLE to bring someone else in.

It might be in Morris's best interest to take a short-term deal and hit free agency again in 2020 or 2021, when his value is, hopefully for him, higher than it is now.

Potential Teams: Kings, Thunder, Trailblazers, Pelicans, Rockets

Predicted Contract: 1-year, $5 million with the Kings

*Actual Contract: 2-year, $6.6 million (2nd year player option) with the Pistons.

After a rough year, Morris struggled to find any decent-sized offers, but at least was able to get a player option that allows him to enter free agency next season if he plays well for Detroit.
