After being traded back to his original stomping grounds last summer, McLemore got very few minutes in Sacramento, only appearing in 19 games and playing 158 total minutes before being waived in February.

McLemore never developed into the player the Kings hoped when they drafted him 7th in 2013. He doesn't have the handle or athleticism to create good shots for himself, doesn't make plays for others, hasn't shot at a high rate, and isn't a great defender.

Teams will be reluctant to give him a roster spot. If I were his agent, I would try to sell teams on his 40% shooting from 3 in '16-'17 and respectable 35% in '17-'18 (McLemore also shot well from 3 last season, but on a very small number of attempts, not enough to take anything from). Shooting is a skill every team needs, so maybe a team could convinve themselves that McLemore can provide that without giving up too much in other areas.

Potential Teams: Thunder, 76ers, Bulls, Wizards, Pacers

Predicted Contract: 1-year, $2 million ($100k guaranteed) with the Thunder

*Actual Contract: 2-year, $4.3 million ($50k guaranteed) with the Rockets.

McLemore is on the cusp of being out of the league, so a lightly-guaranteed minimum contract sounds about right.
