McConnell plays his ass off and defends well for his size, but certainly has his limitations on the offensive end. He doesn't quite have the skills or athleticism to create offense on his own, and often gets locked down with nowhere to go if the defense is smart enough to stay home instead of help. McConnell could greatly improve his stock by becoming more of a three-point threat.
Despite those limitations, McConnell doesn't force shots, and thus has a very good eFG% due mainly to his exceptional percentages at the rim and in the midrange. His agent will point to these numbers, his tenacity, and his performance in the 2018 playoffs when pitching McConnell to teams this summer. Teams should also consider that while McConnell being 27 does limit his upside, having him on his next contract will likely mean they have him for his prime.
Potential Teams: 76ers, Suns, Magic, Hornets, Hawks
Predicted Contract: 2-year, $3.7 million with the 76ers
*Actual Contract: 2-year, $7 million (2nd year $1 million guaranteed) with the Pacers.

McConnell got more than I expected, as I still view him as a third point guard, which usually translates to a minimum contract. The Pacers gave McConnell slightly more than the minimum, so I would say he did well this summer.
