Martin will be finishing his rookie contract this season after being drafted 25th overall in 2015. Orlando could offer him a $3.5 million qualifying offer to make him a restricted free agent, which Martin should sign immediately if they do so.
The Magic almost certainly won't offer Martin a qualifying offer, so he will become an unrestricted free agent. Martin hasn't shown enough to earn more than a minimum contract.
Potential Teams: Hawks, Magic, Knicks, Pelicans, Grizzlies
Predicted Contract: 1-year, $1.7 million ($1.6 million cap hit) with the Hawks
*Actual Contract: 1-year, $1.7 million (non-guaranteed) with the Cavaliers.
Martin was only able to get a non-guaranteed contract, and is unlikely to make the 15-man roster in Cleveland.
