Lyles has shown flashes of potential in his four years with Utah and Denver, but has not been a consistent part of the Nuggets' rotation this season, and got very few playoff minutes. Lyles can stretch the floor and get hot every so often, but he doesn't do anything other than shoot, and isn't a deadly shooter.

The Nuggets might not even offer him the $4.5M Qualifying Offer to make him a restricted free agent. If they do, don't be surprised if Lyles ends up settling for that offer and becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2020. The Nuggets could create up to $18.3M in cap space if they renounce both Paul Millsap and Lyles, which they may prefer over bringing those two power forwards back.

Potential Teams: Hawks, Nuggets, Pelicans, Pacers, Bulls

Predicted Contract: 1-year, $3 million with the Hawks

*Actual Contract: 2-year, $11 million (2nd year $1 million guaranteed). with the Spurs.

I was very unsure which teams would show interest in Lyles. The former Kentucky Wildcat was helped by the Nuggets allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent.
