Before the '17-'18 season, the Warriors declined the 4th-year option of Looney's rookie contract. Looney surprised many by breaking out a bit last season, but the Warriors were still able to bring him back on a minimum contract.

With DeMarcus Cousins likely leaving this summer (maybe less likely after another injury preventing him from contributing in the playoffs so far), the Warriors will likely want to keep Looney. The Warriors will have Full Bird Rights on Looney, so they will have plenty of ability to retain Looney, but look for them to let Looney go if he gets a sizeable offer elsewhere.

Potential Teams: Warriors, Bulls, Clippers, Nets

Predicted Contract: 2-year, $9 million with the Warriors

*Actual Contract: 3-year, $15 million (3rd year player option) with the Warriors.

Despite the Warriors' hard-cap concerns, Looney was able to get a good contract with the Warriors, and getting a player option makes it even better.
