Kaminsky had a nightmare of a contract year, as he fell far behind in the Hornets' rotation. The Hornets are unlikely to tender Kaminsky the Qualifying Offer of $4.5 million, especially given their luxury tax situation, so Kaminsky will likely be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Kaminsky is intriguing as a stretch big, which could get him a reasonable contract.

Potential Teams: Magic, Jazz, Hornets, Kings, Suns

Predicted Contract: 2-year, $8 million with the Magic

*Actual Contract: 2-year, $9.8 million (2nd year team option) with the Suns.

I was surprised Kaminsky got as much as more-established bigs such as Enes Kanter, Robin Lopez, and Ed Davis. However, the Suns getting a team option on the second year makes it more palatable for them.
