Hill had a great season in '16-'17 with the Jazz, aside from some nagging injuries. He then signed a 3-year, $57 million contract with Sacramento that summer. While he has not lived up to that contract and was traded twice since signing it, he has played well for the Bucks.

Hill is having a tremendous playoffs with the Bucks, hitting shots and showing some explosion at the rim as well. His length and defensive ability gives opposing guards problems. He's not much of playmaker, but he'll hit his spotup threes and use his length to be a disruptive defender. At this point in his career, Hill is no longer a starting point guard, but he can be a quality backup if motivated, healthy, and in the right situation.
Hill only has $1 million of his $18 million salary guaranteed next season, so the Bucks are certain to waive him. The Bucks could re-sign Hill if they renounce Mirotic but keep Middleton and Brogdon. This would give them $14.7 million in cap space to split between Lopez and Hill. Would this be enough to keep both of them? If ownership is willing to pay the luxury tax, not having Bird rights on Lopez and George Hill will be the only thing keeping the Bucks from bringing the whole gang back, and it will be fascinating to see if anyone takes a big paycut to come back.
Potential Teams: Bulls, Bucks, Mavericks, Pistons, Pacers
Predicted Contract: 2-year, $20 million with the Bulls
*Actual Contract: 3-year, $28.8 million ($1.3 million guaranteed 3rd year) with the Bucks.

Hill got very close to what I expected per-year, but I did not expect the Bucks to retain him. After losing Brogdon, re-signing Hill became a priority.
