Davis has one elite skill: rebounding. Does "elite" sound too strong? I don't think it is. According to Cleaning the Glass, Davis's offensive rebounding rate is in the 97th percentile for his position, and his defensive rebounding rate is in the 98th percentile for his position. These are career highs, but Davis has also been near the top for the majority of his career in these categories, especially offensive rebounding.

 

The Nets will likely have to renounce Davis if they nab a big free agent, but could still bring him back using the Room Mid-Level Exception if they do so, and if he doesn't get a bigger offer elsewhere.
