Diallo will be a restricted free agent if the Pelicans tender him a $1.93 million qualifying offer, which is unlikely but not out of the question. If the Pelicans tender this offer, I would recommend Diallo sign it immediately, as I wouldn't expect him to get more than his minimum of $1.68 million as a free agent.
