In many ways, Dedmon is a prototypical modern big, as he can protect the rim, catch some lobs, and stretch out to the three-point line. However, he's not a great rim protector, vertical threat, or shooter. Being adequate in all those areas is still valuable, and should be enough to get Dedmon a decent contract.

 

One thing working against Dedmon is that he will already be 30 years old next summer, which could cause him to not receive any long-term offers.
