Carroll is coming to the end of a 4-year, $58 million contract he signed with the Raptors in 2015. Carroll's offensive ability is limited mostly to three-point shooting, as his midrange shooting and finishing ability at the rim leaves a lot to be desired.

Carroll can still contribute to a competitive NBA rotation, but is no longer at starter-level. Look for playoff contenders to target Carroll, and championship contenders like the Warriors will see if Carroll would be willing to sign for the minimum.

Potential Teams: Lakers, Nets, Clippers, Rockets, Kings

Predicted Contract: 2-year, $10 million (2nd year non-guaranteed) with the Lakers

*Actual Contract: 3-year, $20.7 million ($1.4 million guaranteed 3rd year) with the Spurs.

Carroll got more than I expected, but I certainly wasn't surprised by this contract, as I thought it was within the range of reasonable cost for the veteran wing.
