Going into his age 30 season, Butler will want the full 5-year, $190 million max, with a player option and 15% trade bonus (Butler is not eligible for a no-trade clause as he has been with the 76ers for fewer than four seasons). The Sixers will negotiate with Butler to try to get him for something less than the max, or the max on a slightly shorter contract, but don't expect them to play too much hardball, as they know what they signed up for when they traded for Butler.

Philadelphia can create up to $22 million in cap space while still retaining Butler, but it will come at the cost of losing J.J. Redick. This is likely the last year for a while the 76ers could even potentially have cap space, as Simmons is set to get a big pay increase in 2020.

Potential Teams: 76ers, Lakers, Clippers, Knicks

Predicted Contract: 4-year (with player option and 15% trade bonus), $146.5 million, with 76ers

*Actual Contract: 4-year (with player option and 15% trade bonus), $140.8 million, with Heat.

Full four-year max for Butler, which was expected if he were to leave Philadelphia.
