It's not a good sign when the most memorable thing about your season is being mistaken for another player in a laughably miscommunicated trade. The Suns originally agreed to trade Trevor Ariza, thinking they were getting back Dillon Brooks in return. When they found out the Grizzlies were only willing to send MarShon Brooks, they refused - another bad sign for MarShon.
Brooks had a surprising NBA comeback near the end of the '17-'18 season, but his hot shooting cooled down this season, and he struggled to get consistent minutes before being traded to Chicago and subsequently waived. At 30 years old and very little evidence of valuable NBA play, I would be surprised if Brooks got a fully-guaranteed contract this summer.
Potential Teams: Knicks, 76ers, Trailblazers, Thunder, Mavericks
Predicted Contract: 1-year, $1.9 million ($250k guaranteed) with the Knicks
*Brooks has yet to sign an NBA contract.
