At 31 years old, Beverley will likely be looking for one last long-term contract. The feisty guard is known as one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, but has declined slightly in that area in recent years, which will be a worry for teams considering paying him into his mid-thirties.

While not known as a shooter due to his relatively low volume of attempts, Beverley has shot 39% or better from three each of the past four seasons.

The Clippers can retain Beverley and still have plenty of room for one max free agent, but if the Clippers need to make room for two max free agents, they will need to get creative with trades, and would possibly need to renounce Beverley as well.

Potential Teams: Clippers, Pacers, Mavericks, Suns

Predicted Contract: 2-year, $25 million (2nd year non-guaranteed) with the Clippers.

*Actual Contract: 3-year, $40 million with the Clippers.

Another point guard whose salary demands I underestimated, Beverley got paid like a low-end starting caliber point guard, which should not have surprised me since that's the level I would put him.
